  • The AFL-CIO's Union Veterans Council
    Updated On: Nov 12, 2018

Veterans Day is an opportunity to reflect on the immeasurable sacrifices made by our nation's heroes, all in the name of protecting their country, and their fellow Americans. We all owe them an extraordinary debt of gratitude.

The AFL-CIO's Union Veterans Council (UVC).believes that "The issues facing veterans and those facing the working class aren't independent of each other — a lack of good jobs, attacks on healthcare and fading dreams of a better life impact each one of us."

Members of the UVC focus on important issues affecting veterans, such as the need for good jobs and a fully funded VA. They also hold elected officials accountable, so that they simply cannot don a lapel pin but must stand by their words.

If you are interested in learning more about the UVC, or to join, please visit this site http://unionveterans.org

Please join us in thanking all of our nation's veterans, today and everyday
