Wage board: Raise tipped workers wage to $7.50 an hour
01/31/15 - HVALF AFL-CIO
A state board today recommended that the hourly wage paid to restaurant servers and other tipped workers should be increased from $5 an hour to $7.50 an hour by the end of the year. The state’s Wage Board voted in favor of raising the so-called tipped wage amid calls that New York’s minimum wage be increased overall from the $9 an hour it is set to reach at year’s end.
American Airlines’ 2015 Fleet Plan

Earlier this week, American released its official 2015 Fleet Plan; even though the airline plans that its total mainline aircraft will shrink by about 30, it will take delivery of more than seven dozen mainline aircraft and retire more than 100 mainline. A319: American will take delivery of four A319s in the first quarter and three in the second quarter.

American Airlines pilots approve new contract, with nearly two thirds in favor

by Terry Maxom-Jan 30, 2015--American Airlines pilots have approved a new five-year contract that gives them 24 percent pay raises this year and small pay raises in future years. The Allied Pilots Association said 65.68 percent voted in favor of the deal, with 34.32 percent against. Of those eligible, 94 percent cast votes. Only the Miami pilot base had a majority voting against the deal.
American Airlines adding more flights from MIA

By Hannah Sampson 01/29/2015 6:16 PM American Airlines announced on Thursday that it will add two more routes from Miami International Airport, where it is the largest carrier. The airline plans to add daily direct flights between Miami and Barranquilla, Colombia and service six days a week between Miami and Monterrey, Mexico. Both routes are scheduled to kick off on June 4.
