By memberhip action at our May 2016 meeting, the Local has ordered and received new red t-shirts.  These shirts should be worn on Thursdays if possible.  If you must wear a uniform, please wear the shirt any time you are representing CWA at rallies or meetings. We still need a few more volunteers to help us this Saturday, January 21st at 9 am at My Joyful Heart in Mokena.  We will be helping them move donations boxes in their warehouse.  We are volunteering our time because they operate on a shoe string budget and they no longer have anyone working in their warehouse. Tickets are still available for Union Day when the Illini take on the Golden Gophers but time is running out to get yours. The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund has awarded a $10,000 Scholarship to Alexandra Kohr, Daughter of Jeff and Helen Kohr. Jeff, a Teamster since 1993, works at the Hershey Medical Center. Alexandra was introduced to the membership at the January monthly membership meeting. She will be attending Penn State University in the fall of the year.
